Why read when you can RSS?

For those new to informtation and technology, a fast and easy way to browse current and news worthy topics is through RSS or (Really Simple Syndication). These feeds can be sent via email or phone and keep the reader apriased of ever-changing news and current events. This is a great way for educators to keep their classroom involved on today's topics, while not having to search the top web sites for ideas or articles of the day.

Most popular web sites like CNN, Yahoo, MSNBC and even FoxSports.com have RSS feeds that keep you invformed, but RSS can be use for Blogs and Wikis as well. This provides a broad view of events and allows for you to keep track of your favorite bloggers at the same time.
With the culture in today's society of needing information now, students expect immediate results when looking and interptreting information. RSS feeds allow for students to quickly view topics, and read full articles about a specific topic.

One way to receive these feeds directly into your in box is to look for the RSS icon.

If you use Outlook as your primary email, there will be an RSS icon that you can use to set up feeds into your inbox. For all other email accounts go to http://www.feedmyinbox.com/ to set up RSS feeds.

So look for the RSS icon on your favorite website, and start getting feeds from your favorite websites today!
